Musical Cat – 2D animated short
Many people are coming up short for the holidays, when presents are usually bought at malls, department stores and online. This year is different than other years where there was an abundance of funds for extensive shopping. You’re nearly in a panic. There are kids that are accustomed to receiving presents from you. What should you do?
Well, if you have a computer, a camcorder, and are the least bit creative, you can make a cute kid’s movie short in no time at all. Very easy. All you have to do is download some free software, create the movie and buy some DVD cases to put your movies in.
Can’t think of a story line? No problem. There are free scripts for your movie. The child’s name can be incorporated into the story, along with mentioning their favorite color or toy.
The movie doesn’t have to be longer than 5 – 10 minutes. Using the animation software, the movie is created as a file. If the software permits, sound effects can be added with MP3 files or .wav files. The movie is then converted to DVD and gets burned to a disk. The only thing left to do after reviewing the disk to make sure it has no errors or glitches that you don’t want on the disk, is to create a DVD cover for the DVD movie case. The DVD cases come in red, yellow, blue or green.
If you draw a picture and make an image file, the pixels can be adjusted for a customized fit on the DVD case. You may want to print out the picture on glossy paper that has an adhesive backing so it will stick to the front of the DVD. Since it’s a DVD given as a personal present and not a DVD for sale, it can look sort of original. The cover can include the child’s name for a personalized effect.
A children’s animated movie short will make kids happy, especially if the script is funny, amusing or full of adventure or action. It will become a cherished gift that is valued over expensive gifts just because you made it yourself.
